In 2022, Historic Royal Palaces commissioned Producer Debbie Hicks and Director Alexander Lass to develop and produce four new one act plays telling untold stories about underrepresented characters from the history of Hampton Court Palace.

Debbie and Alex worked with writers Rabiah Hussain, Rosanna Suppa, Kaamil Shah and Naomi Sheldon and a diverse ensemble cast to rediscover these extraordinary people and bring a fresh perspective to their forgotten narratives. Visitors young and old were delighted to experience history being brought vividly to life - with surprising contemporary resonance - amidst the hallowed halls of Hampton Court.
