THE PERMANENT WAY

BY DAVID HARE

In 2019, Alex directed the first ever major London revival of The Permanent Way by David Hare, a site-specific production in the former railway arches at The Vaults beneath Waterloo Station.

David Hare's extraordinary verbatim play examines the human cost of corporate greed and governmental mismanagement in the wake of the botched privatisation of the railways.

Alex's critically acclaimed production ran at The Vaults for 10 weeks, it began on Friday 13th September 2019 and played until Sunday 17th November 2019.
