ASSOCIATE & ASSITANT DIRECTING
The highlight of Alex's Associate Directing career to date was working with Sean Mathias on his award-winning sell-out revival of Harold Pinter’s No Man’s Land starring Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart (UK Tour and West End).
Previously, Alex has worked with Raz Shaw, Tom Hunsinger, Christopher Morahan, Sam Walters, Auriol Smith, Davis McCallum, Angus Jackson, Phillip Breen, John Ramster, Alan Ayckbourn, and David Grindley.
Alex has been an Assistant/Associate in the West End, off-Broadway, at the Royal Shakespeare Company (Stratford-upon-Avon and West End), Theatre Royal Bath, Royal Academy of Music Opera, the Orange Tree Theatre, and on first class UK tour.

EDUCATION, COMMUNITY, OUTREACH AND PARTICIPATION
Alex relishes teaching – nurturing and mentoring students of all ages and backgrounds. Alex has directed productions and delivered participatory activities in a variety of educational settings including workshops in primary and secondary schools, higher education masterclasses, and community youth theatre groups. Alex holds an enhanced DBS certificate and is registered for the online automatic update service.
TRAINING
Alex trained on the National Theatre Directors Course, at the Orange Tree Theatre, and on the Directors Course at LAMDA. He holds a degree in History of Art (MA Cantab) from Downing College, Cambridge.
PERSONAL
Alex is a Dual UK / USA Citizen. Outside of the theatre, Alex enjoys jazz and classical music, food & drink, literature, comedy, cinema, nature, museums & galleries, history & heritage. Alex supports Tottenham Hotspur, he is a keen swimmer, and he regularly practises meditation, mindfulness and yoga. Alex completed the St John's Ambulance First Aid at Work Course in 2022.
